The vision of Mindful Schools is for all children to learn in schools that encourage greater awareness, the ability to focus attention, and action based on empathy, kindness, and compassion.

Mindfulness practice allows us to navigate life’s tough challenges—helping to manage stress, maintain focus, and make wise decisions. What more could we want for the next generation?

When teachers learn mindfulness, they experience less burnout and report greater efficacy in doing their jobs. We equip educators to first cultivate a personal practice, then share meditation with youth, because when an adult with a strong mindfulness practice enters a classroom, the whole environment shifts. By expressing the quiet power of internal practice through their presence, words, and actions, this teacher becomes a model for a new kind of educational leader—an example of wisdom and compassion in everyday life who can profoundly affect the lives of students.

Thanks to generous supporters, we’ve trained over 50,000 teachers to do just this, and served three million young people in grades k-12. Together we’re ensuring that young people grow into kind, resilient, and compassionate leaders who will change the world.

Your support for this important work provides:

  • Scholarships for teachers
  • Curriculum and resources for classrooms
  • Schoolwide Mindfulness programs at under-resourced schools

Imagine if you were introduced to mindfulness as a child. How might your life be different today?
