Andrea specializes in expat adolescents and adults. She has extensive experience working with issues of transition & change, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, third-culture kids, relationships, family of origin, and concerns of humanitarians and aid workers, such as psychological first-aid and secondary trauma.

Biography

Andrea has lived and worked overseas for 20 years, both as an international school counselor and a psychotherapist in private practice. Andrea has taught mindfulness to children and adults in Viet Nam, Jordan, and Sri Lanka, and believes mindfulness and its tenets are the fundamental keys to the healthy navigation of our increasingly complex world.

Andrea holds two master’s degrees in Secondary Education and International Counseling Psychology, as well as a diploma in Cognitive Behavior Therapy, and is a Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (MBACP). Currently a secondary school counselor in Colombo, Sri Lanka, Andrea teaches the Mindful Schools curriculum as well as mindfulness techniques to students, parents, and teachers.
