Brenda Kambakhsh discovered mindfulness when, as a cancer survivor, she was offered a Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) course. Brenda has a Master’s degree in Education (Curriculum and Instruction) and has taught on three continents. She most recently worked with teachers as an IB curriculum coordinator, implementing the International Baccalaureate program. She decided to pursue further mindfulness training with Mindful Schools, and has taught mindfulness to adolescents and adults. She is also a certified instructor of MB-Eat (Mindful-Based Eating), which she teaches in her local community.
In addition to in-school mindfulness programs, Brenda enjoys working with teachers during professional development sessions, and within IB schools, connecting mindfulness practices to the IB Program’s Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills.
Grateful for the opportunity to bring mindfulness to people of all ages, Brenda believes that living with awareness in the present moment is the key to happiness, contentment, and solving our global challenges.
