Carrie specializes in working with educators, at-risk youth and the community at large. She leads groups and trainings that focus on the impact of toxic stress, burnout, and disconnection. Her approach is compassionate, relational, and embodied. She allows her teaching style to emerge from the direct experience of practice, continuous training, and an open heart.
Carrie Edmond is a long time mindfulness practitioner and student. She received her B.A. in Education from the University of Northern Iowa, followed by a M.A. in Counseling from the University of Texas at San Antonio. She has worked in public schools for over 15 years. She currently serves her school district and community as a STAN Intervention Counselor in San Antonio, Texas. She is the founder of ONE Mindful Maven and SA Mindful Education. Her commitment is to do her part in cultivating mindfulness and compassion in schools and the community. She leads trainings and classes throughout Texas that focus on self-care, mindfulness, and connection. She also facilitates mindfulness classes at community organizations, public libraries, and community education centers.
