I specialize in guiding and mentoring teachers and counselors in the teaching of Mindfulness in the classroom, presenting information to administrators and parents, as well as coaching teachers and modeling strategies to help them bring mindfulness into their daily classroom routine. I also work with students with learning challenges, ADHD, social challenges and high anxiety.
Deborah was an elementary school classroom teacher for eight years. She has always had a passion for teaching and knew that Mindfulness would be a great addition to any classroom. Working at the non-profit org, Minding Your Mind, she has been provided the opportunity to bring Mindfulness into public and private schools. She has developed several mindfulness programs for Minding Your Mind’s mindfulness initiative. Deborah believes it is critical to begin introducing mindfulness skills as early as possible. She has been practicing and studying Mindfulness for close to 10 years. Her passion for facilitating Mindfulness has lead her into the MBSR teacher training at Jefferson University Hospitals Mindfulness Institute where she continues to study.
