Holly Lees is the Youth Coordinator and Mindfulness & Arts Facilitator for Bottle Works Arts on Third. Holly created and facilitates Bottle Works’ Mindfulness & Arts Initiative in local classrooms and at Bottle Works classes and summer camps. She teaches the Mindful Schools curriculum combined with visual and performing art lessons. Holly earned a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts from Point Park University and is a Certified Mindful Schools Instructor. Holly grew up and currently lives in Johnstown, PA. She cares deeply about the community and the future of Johnstown. She has been practicing mindfulness and yoga since 2009 and feels called to share mindfulness teachings and its benefits with others. She is eager to work with organizations to open the conversation about mindfulness and the arts, in the community and in education. Holly is the co-founder of Kulani Kids, a children’s West African style dance and drum group. This group engages youth in Kulani’s mission to create community and spread joy. They teach regular classes & summer camps for youth and perform at community events. Holly is the creator of the “Girl Power Workshop” an annual weeklong workshop for girls ages 13-18 that employees mindfulness lesson to empower young women. Holly is looking for teachers in Johnstown and surrounding areas that would like to employ the Mindfulness & Art Initiative in their classrooms.
