Biography

Kim has twenty years of classroom teaching experience and is now a District Instructional Coach for K to 5 teachers. She began teaching mindfulness in classrooms and to her colleagues after taking a Mindful Schools course in 2016. She is now a graduate of the Year Long Certification Program. She is forever grateful to Mindful Schools for all that they do. Her teaching is driven by a belief that teachers who value themselves, see themselves as beautiful gifts to their students and learn mindfulness strategies, self compassion and acceptance are able to create a more loving, compassionate classroom environment where students can learn, bloom and thrive. Kim believes that bringing HEART into the classroom is just as important as teaching content. Her goal is for teachers and students to love and accept themselves, and to be their best, true authentic selves. It is her passion to spread mindfulness, and to teach students and teachers to learn from the inside-out.

She has developed and facilitated after school program and created mindfulness curriculum for classrooms. Kim has presented mindfulness workshops for educators at school, town and state level conferences.

Kim is trained in Mindful Schools, Mission Be and Choose Love curriculums.

She is an active member of the Rhode Island Department of Education Social Emotional
Leadership Team.

She truly believes that “every child is a beautiful flower and together they make this world a beautiful garden.”
