I specialize in working with students in grades K-5 with social, emotional, and behavioral challenges in individual, group, and whole classroom settings. My students have a range of diagnoses, including autism, ADHD, trauma, anxiety, and depression. I am also committed to integrating Mindfulness techniques into all aspects of my work, including supporting teachers and parents.
Leigh has been providing mental health services to students grades K-12 within the public school and clinic settings since 1998. She earned her CAGS in Counseling Psychology from Lesley University, her Ed.M. in Risk and Prevention from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and her B.A. from Williams College. She is currently a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and is certified as a School Social Worker/ School Adjustment Counselor (all levels) and Guidance Counselor (preK-5 and 5-12).
Leigh has benefited greatly from her personal Mindfulness practice and has been teaching the Mindful Schools Curriculum to elementary students (K-5) since 2016. She is most excited about integrating Mindfulness practices into a school’s SEL curriculum in order to help students further develop the ability to attend and self-regulate, resolve peer conflicts, and learn to be kind to oneself and others.
