Biography

Leith Colton comes to the work as a licensed social worker, educational consultant and stress management facilitator. She has a diverse professional background which includes teaching and leadership roles in both the not-for-profit and for-profit worlds. She has held positions within the foster care system, functioned as the lead therapist in a Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy model working with survivors of both sexual and physical abuse in addition to working with numerous children, adolescents and families who have experienced crime, abuse and community violence. In addition to her position as Community Wellness Director at the Port Chester Carver Center, she works as an educational consultant and serves her community as the Board Treasurer of Westchester-Putnam Peer Support, Inc., a 501c3 whose members provide pro bono peer support for First Responders who have been exposed to the trauma of critical incidents.
