I facilitate mindfulness across the lifespan and adjust programming to meet the needs of particular individuals, families, organizations, and communities. I developed curricula for teachers and staff across multiple educational settings, too.
Biography
Suzanne has been teaching mindfulness to adults since 1998 and youth since 1999 and has presented locally, nationally, and internationally. She earned her doctorate in Educational Leadership, researching the experiences of residential educators. As a clinical social worker, her early training included facilitating multiple mindfulness skill groups to adults and youth across multiple settings. In addition to leading Mindful Schools programming across multiple settings, she teaches mindfulness, compassion, and social emotional learning courses to college students; leads multiple mindfulness faculty learning communities; facilitates mindful leadership programs for women leaders; enjoys teaching to wise elders, and mentors individuals and groups interested in mindfulness and other contemplative practices. Suzanne completed 200 hours of yoga training with additional certification in trauma-focused yoga. She looks forward to partnering and consulting with others interested in mindfulness programming. I have taught Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) since 2003.
