Tanya specializes in working with adults and high school students. Teaches mindfulness, yoga and helps coordinate and teach the wellness program at New Roots Charter School. Mindfulness educator and certified Anusara® yoga teacher, registered Yoga Alliance RYT-200 teacher.
Tanya has been practicing and studying meditation and contemplative practices for thirty years, and hatha yoga for twenty years. Tanya works with adults and youth. Her commitment to working with adolescents is rooted in the belief that adolescents can apply the qualities of mindfulness to their lives as a way to relate to themselves, one another, and to the world from a place of kindness, tranquility and wisdom. Sharing the practice of mindfulness with her students is an invitation to experience life with more awareness, deepen their sense of connection, develop empathy and to be more caring individuals of their communities.
