About This Special Event

Mindful Schools is delighted to welcome esteemed author, mindfulness in education leader, Harvard Medical School lecturer, and parent, Dr. Christopher Willard, for a live, online benefit event to support mindfulness in education.

From Our Presenter: In these unprecedented times many educators–and the families and students they support–are struggling with the stresses of isolation and disruption to their lives.

These are not ordinary times. Yet, with this crisis also comes an opportunity for post traumatic growth that invites the possibility to strengthen us as individuals and as communities when we effectively apply mindfulness and other contemplative strategies to build more resilience. While everyone faces unique challenges at this moment, we will come together to explore what is universal. Together, we will explore time-tested principles and strategies, grounded in research, that will support us and the communities we serve.

At this 90-minute event, participants will learn tools to strengthen resilience and turn a challenging time into a period of personal and collective growth.

  • Learn practical strategies to promote wellness and learning with your children, students and community
  • Better understand the science of post traumatic growth
  • Try mindfulness-based resilience practices for mind, body and spirit

If you believe in the potential of mindfulness in education, share this resource with your school community!
