Cathy works with elementary students and teachers, as well as college students and faculty to help build tools for self awareness and self compassion, fostering a climate of kindness and creativity. She also consults with organizations to design workshops and professional development offerings.
Cathy Cebulski Sacco, MEd. is an educator, a consultant and an artist. She is deeply interested in helping students and faculty to cultivate self awareness, self-compassion, kindness, and creativity, particularly within learning environments.
She has a Master’s degree in Education and AMS Montessori Certification for ages 6-9 and 9-12 from Xavier University and has taught in Montessori elementary 6-9 and 9-12 classrooms. She is currently Adjunct faculty in Xavier University’s Department of Childhood Education and Literacy where she integrates mindfulness and contemplative practices into her coursework with students. She co-facilitates a Faculty Learning Community at Xavier on mindfulness and creativity in teaching and learning. She also facilitates student mindfulness drop-in sessions at the University of Cincinnati for stress reduction and is currently part of a research grant evaluating international mindfulness programs for K-12, as well as a research project on mindfulness, reflective practices and teacher-centered mentorship.
