Claire Seryak, PhD, LSW is a social work professional, educator and mindfulness instructor. She was introduced to mindfulness in 2009 as a practice to manage and cope with stress. While mindfulness has helped Claire work with her thoughts and emotions in more skillful ways, it has also been a doorway into greater self-awareness and discovery. She holds a deep passion and enthusiasm for sharing this practice with others.
She brings over 20 years of experience working in non-profit social service, research and educational settings. She has experience teaching mindfulness to a variety of populations including children and youth in grades K-12, graduate students, and incarcerated individuals. Her work is grounded in values that acknowledge the inherent worth and dignity of all people. She is dedicated to creating opportunities for individuals to discover, harness and strengthen their inner resources so that they may navigate life’s most difficult challenges in skillful and healthy ways.
