Judy specializes in teaching mindfulness, compassion, social justice, and the integration of dance and movement to all ages, including those who have experienced grief and trauma.
Judy Austin is a child and adolescent therapist, teacher, and curriculum designer specializing in mindfulness, compassion, social justice, and movement. She teaches at Fort Lewis College, maintains a private therapy practice, and is the director of The Grief Center of Southwest Colorado. She is available as an outside provider and consultant to schools and organizations seeking to cultivate mindfulness, compassion and social justice in their settings.
Judy is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a graduate of Northwestern University, the University of Colorado, and the Mindful Education Institute. She has worked in marginalized communities with intergenerational trauma through both mindfulness and attunement-based modalities, as well as being an artist in residence in schools and community organizations throughout the US and abroad.
